Small Smoother
I’m currently working on a small smoothing plane kit. It will look similar to the plane shown below, but will have Brass sides as opposed to steel, dovetailed to a O1 steel sole.
The overall dimensions will be about 155mm (6″ ish) long by about 50mm (2″ ish) wide with a 40mm (1 1/2″ ish) wide iron in O1 Tool Steel.
I’ve yet to work out a price for the kit, but I’m sure that it’ll come in at significantly less than the price of a good Stanley type smoothing plane.
